Jennifer Stafford, LMHC, Ed.M.

"I specialize in teaching people how to hold a space for their

own humanity."

I am a licensed psychotherapist, mental health choreographer, self-love teacher, resilience hustler, author and philosophical poet practicing in New York and California. Practical, passionate and genuine, the dedication to my own self-discovery is an endless excursion that consistently keeps me on my toes. I received both of my Master’s Degrees in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University as a Gates Millennium Scholar. My approach is loving, open, understanding and compassionate. In addition to practicing privately, I am a mental health consultant to the Brief Strategic Family Therapy Institute at The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

I empathize with clients and guide them as they courageously embark upon their journey to reacquaint themselves with self-love, walk authentically and access internal happiness birthed from gratitude. With a breadth of experience working on improving mental health services provided to families and individuals in New York City and Los Angeles, I have contributed to the implementation of mental health clinics in schools, the roll out of evidenced based programs to underserved communities and supervised the clinical development of culturally mindful mental health clinicians.

With a results-oriented approach, I have experience working with clients from across the globe and have led many individuals to success in their careers and relationships with lovers, children and family. Above all, I help clients learn how to reconnect with self-love from deep within. Working together we accomplish your desired life changes; you set goals and I support you in attaining them.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
